Spiritual gifts are discussed in various chapters of the bible, including Romans, Ephesians, I Corinithians and elsewhere. Numerous commentators have debated as to whether these spiritual gifts total 22 or fewer, but virtually all agree God has bestowed upon us supernatural gifts which are divided into the following categories:

Teaching and Leadership (or Motivational)
Service (or Ministry)
Sign Gifts (or Manifestation) – to further clarify ‘sign gifts’, these are given to authenticate the work of apostles and prophets, particularly at the beginning of the new age (dispensation) when God does something new and different in the world.
