You remember that when Jesus sent his trainees out to practice ministry,
he would debrief with them when they returned. We need to do the same
with our children. They will have a bundle of thoughts and feelings that
they need to process with you. To help them process their ministry experience,
ask questions like the following:
What did you do?
Who went with you?
What did you see them do?
What did you learn?
What did you observe?
How did this make you feel inside?
Do you want to try it again?
What worked and what didn’t work well?
Would you do something differently next time?
Do you want to do this ministry again??
Most importantly, what did they see God doing?
